FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions
What does “vandal-proof” mean?
Attempts are frequently made to destroy product markings by scratching the surface. Using an etching technique, text and logos are recessed into the material before being painted. Even if the paint is deliberately scratched off, the recessed markings remain visible and legible.
What marking options are available?
In addition to etching, markings can be created via engraving—using either a mechanical stylus or a laser—followed by the application of paint. Alternatively, an “anodized subsurface” (sealed-anodized) printing process can be used to digitally embed ink into the pores of the aluminum. The simplest method is direct UV digital printing, which can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces and materials.
Is there a standard for nameplates?
We manufacture nameplates precisely according to your specific wishes and requirements. Sizes, shapes, and finishes are discussed and produced on an individual basis for your project.
