For our customers and ourselves, we have committed ourselves to the DIN ISO 9001 quality standard. Kussmann & Berkenhoff GmbH has been certified since 12.08.2002.
In addition, we have introduced an environmental management system according to DIN ISO 14001, which has been successfully certified since June 23, 2025.

Sustainability
We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that none of the listed substances get into our type plates, foil plates or front panels. The careful use of natural resources and the correct disposal of the materials used is therefore a matter of course for us.
About the “Environment and Occupational Safety” section of the WSM Wirtschaftsverband Stahl- und Metallverarbeitung e.V., which we also belong to as a company of the Fachverband Metallwaren- und verwandte Industrien e.V. (Metal Goods and Related Industries Association). (FMI), we are regularly informed about proposed substances for the candidate list, public consultation procedures, updates of the candidate list, which now comprises 191 substances (last updated in June 2018), as well as about the relevance of the SVHC.
We further confirm that none of the substances of very high concern (SVHCs; Art. 59 of the REACH Regulation) defined by ECHA are contained in our products.
We also use state-of-the-art air filter technology and regeneration systems. Through the use of a state-of-the-art water treatment plant, our process water is filtered and tested several times before being returned to the environment. The use of our regeneration plant enables us to produce or recycle the required materials without polluting the environment through acquisitions.
